The Musikgarten Difference...

"My husband and I gifted our son Musikgarten classes at Prairie Music Academy for his 2nd birthday. Initially, we were just looking for a cultural activity that we could do with our son to get us through the long cold winters; we wanted something to balance out his swim lessons. My son has always been very interested in music and dancing so this is a great way to cultivate that interest. I love that Musikgarten provides the structure of a classroom environment. I feel my son learns very important socialization and school-readiness skills by learning to sit & sing in a circle, take turns, echo the instructors words/actions, etc. All the while, his natural curiosity is aroused as he is introduced to various instruments, sounds, songs, clapping games, dance movements, etc. My son now hogs our car radio because he wants to listen to his Musikgarten cd's over and over. We frequently see him bopping along from our rear view mirror. I especially love how my son has incorporated music class into his creative play. Everyday objects become possible musical instruments---wooden spoons for drumsticks, trash cans for drums, pencils for violin bows, cereal boxes for rattles and shakers, etc. I highly recommend Musikgarten to any parent interested in giving their child a good start on life and learning. Our son highly recommends Musikgarten to any child wanting to get their parent to dance and sing and have a good time."    -- Bridget K., Sun Prairie WI
