Rachel Zarzyski grew up in Ripon, Wisconsin where she was actively involved in choir and musical productions. She earned a Bachelor of Music Education in Choral and General Music from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. While at Eau Claire, she performed in numerous Cabarets as well as the opera “Die Fledermaus.” She has toured with the Eau Claire Concert Choir to Washington D.C. and to Portugal and has sung in numerous community ensembles including The Master Singers of Eau Claire and The Oshkosh Chamber Singers. She is excited to be singing with Madison Chamber Choir this fall. Rachel taught choir in the Ripon Area School District prior to her current position as choral director at Patrick Marsh Middle School in Sun Prairie.

Rachel strongly believes that music is the expression of the human experience through sound and strives to teach her students through that. When not teaching, Rachel enjoys traveling, yoga, and spending time with friends and family.
