Mission
Prairie Music Academy is a non-profit community
music school offering quality education and opportunities
to people of all ages and backgrounds. It is our goal to foster
musical exploration that leads to self-confidence and creativity,
as well as to offer a community that both inspires and enriches.
Private Lessons
We offer lessons for:
- Piano
- Voice
- Flute
- Guitar
- Strings
- Folk styles--fiddle and mandolin
Lessons are weekly, with 30-, 45- and 60-minute
lessons available.
In addition to private lessons, students
receive four one-hour group classes per school year. Group
classes provide a well-balanced supplement to private lessons
and are designed to help a student achieve his or her maximum
musical potential. Within each class, students explore music
theory, music history and performance techniques through interactive
activities.
Summer Schedule
Our flexible summer scheduling helps students
maintain continuity in study. Students can pick and choose
a summer program that allows them to explore and stretch their
skills and that fits even the busiest summer schedule. Summer
packages include:
- Private lessons
- Duo Lessons
- Summer day camps
- Voice, piano, strings, guitar, flute
- Beginning group piano and guitar classes
- Early childhood music classes
- Enrichment classes and workshops
