Dan Maske is a music teacher, composer, performer, and recording producer. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in music composition from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as well as BA and MM degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Dan has been teaching since 1994, as a private instructor in piano, trumpet, drum set, and has taught college courses in music theory, composition, and music history. A published author of musical instructional books Progressive Rock Keyboard and Progressive Rock Drumming, Dan currently serves on the music faculty of Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, WI and also works for Hal Leonard, the world’s largest music publisher, as an arranger, editor, and recording producer. Dan and his wife, Angela Schmidt, are founding members of the progressive rock band Far Corner.
